SWM Takes on Darcy’s Garden with WellChild

Date: [09/02/2022] Last Wednesday, The Sands Wealth Management Team, alongside another team from the SJP Leeds community, put on our gardening gloves and boots and got stuck into a gardening project with the brilliant Charity WellChild. Over two days a garden was transformed to create a safe outdoor space for a young girl called Darcy in South Kirby. Darcy has Tuberous Sclerosis, Epilepsy, is visually impaired and also have Osteoporosis, this causes her bones to become fragile and break. Because of this she is unable to spend time in parks and outdoor areas and require constant supervision. The completed WellChild's project now means that Darcy can play on a safely decked area and enjoy a fun water feature right outside her back door. On the day we built and installed raised beds and artificial grass to an area of the garden. This provided Darcy with a levelled, soft, and suitable flooring to play on. We then added a sensory wall and mud kitchen to the garden that Darcy loves playing with. Making these changes made a huge difference to Darcy as she will have a better quality of life when at home and can enjoy spending time outside with her family and friends. This status is a major accomplishment for us at Sands Wealth Management that would not have been achieved without a strong team effort and excellent service over the past 12 years. Not only have we achieved Managing Partner as a practice, but our director, Jonathan Sands has also achieved Managing Partner status in his own right.  Below are a few words from our Director, Jonathan Sands: “Achieving the target of Managing Partner is a wonderful recognition milestone which represents the constant hard work and determination of my entire team over more than a decade.  We are one of the first small businesses in the North of England to achieve this and it goes without saying that it is a team effort.  I wish to extend my thanks to all of our loyal clients, many of whom have referred their nearest and dearest. Without them our company would not be as strong and successful as it is.”  This professional milestone is not only a great and deserved achievement, but also a phenomenal showcase of our persistent success as a team. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our amazing clients who have been, and continue to be with us on our journey as a boutique wealth management firm.

50K Your Way

Date: [20/10/2021] Our team has pledge to cover 50k or more between 1st and 31st October. We are covering 50K in any way we can think of, whether its on foot, by bike, on a space hopper! We at Sands Wealth Management are raising funds for Hope and Homes by getting involved in 50K Your Way! We are covering at least 50 kilometers during the month of October! We’re only half way through October and most of our team has already made it to 50K! How amazing is that? Only 5 more kilometers to go for Gintare and Lam until all of us at Sands Wealth Management past the finish line! We are hoping to test our limits as a team and raise valuable funds for Hope and Homes For Children. Your support has never been more vital. Orphanages don’t protect children, they harm them. Today, there are at least 5.4 million children confined to orphanages. Around 80% of these children aren’t orphans at all. They have a living parent or relative who could care for them with the right support. The effects of Covid-19 have left families across the world even more vulnerable to poverty, homelessness and ultimately putting more children at risk of being separated from their loving families. Just £158 could help keep a family together. It allows the Hope and Homes for Children’s teams on the ground to provide tailored support to prevent parents from losing their child to an orphanage. If you would like to support and donate to our 50K Your Way Challenge, you can do so by clicking on our JustGiving page below. LINK BELOW: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/swmhopeandhome Every donation is matched by St. James's Place Wealth Management to raise valuable funds for Hope and Homes for Children

Sands Wealth Management partners with Hope and Homes for Children

Date: [01/10/2020] We are thrilled to announce that Sands Wealth Management is now in Partnership with the Hope and Homes for Children charity. It is a privilege to be involved with such an incredible charity, that has been helping children grow up in loving homes since 1994. 80% of the 8 million children confined to orphanages have at least one living parent or close relative who could care for them with the right support. And for children without a family, there is always a better option than an orphanage. Science show that the bond between a child and their family is vital for their development. Decades of evidence proves that orphanages harm children, exposing them to high levels of sexual and physical abuse, extreme neglect and stunting their physical, emotional and psychological development. For some children this means they will never learn to talk or walk. Hope and Homes for Children, work to: Keep families together, helping children stay where they belong, with the people who love them. Reunite families, helping children come back to where they belong and stay together. Build new families, giving children a place to belong and someone to love them. Hope and Homes aim to generate wholescale child care reform and build and strengthen childcare services to ensure that every child can grow up in a safe, loving environment, both now and in the future. We look forward to working with Hope and Homes over the foreseeable future. We are currently donating towards the closure of the Bistrita Institution which the charity is aiming to close in January 2021. The money donated will go towards securing the ground space and beginning construction of the Small Group Homes, with the hopes that children and young adults from Bistrita Institution can move into their new home as early as possible in 2021 Visit their website to find out more: https://www.hopeandhomes.org
