Protecting Yourself From Fraud

This is an exclusive seminar run by Sands Wealth Management and open to all whether you are a current client or not.

Following the success and positive feedback from our first Fraud Seminar, we are holding another one for those who missed out and those who would like to send their friends and family to learn how to protect themselves from fraud.

Fraud is something that everyone should be aware of nowadays, with fraudsters regularly stealing identities and trying to access our information. Anyone using a computer, phone or tablet that is connected to the internet is susceptible to the threats posed by online computer hackers. Using a countless number of methods, a fraudster can steal anything from your personal identity and bank details, to the valuable data stored on our devices. This allows them to do anything from posing as yourself online in order to drain your bank account, to blackmailing you into paying for access to your precious holiday photographs.

Following a recent survey by the National Cyber Security Centre, 70% of UK residents believe they will likely be a victim of at least one type of cyber crime over the next two years, and most feel there would be a big personal impact.

Our ‘Protecting Yourself From Online Fraud’ seminar will provide you with a chance to understand what the current dangers are relating to both online and offline fraud. You will find out about different types of fraud, current examples and risks and what you can do to protect yourself.

The seminar will include:

  • An introduction from Jonathan Sands
  • Seminar run by Fraud Adviser Katherine Sands
  • Tea and coffee break
  • A light lunch

We believe this will be a highly valuable seminar for any of our clients to attend and feel this is an important area to focus on. Spaces are limited to 60 people and will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Please book now to avoid disappointment!
