The Real Junk Food Project, Corporate Buffet

Date: [20/03/2019]

Zelig Catering who are part of The Real Junk Food Project and also based in Wakefield, provided a buffet lunch for our team this week, 100% made from food that would have otherwise been surplus and wasted.

The Real Junk Food Project is a collaborative effort to bring about a radical change in our food system. They save perfectly edible food that would otherwise not make it to your plate, and make it available to all on a Pay As You Feel basis. All food waste that they intercept is processed, quality controlled and distributed through their network of cafes, sharehouses, schools and community groups.

We were extremely impressed with the buffet. The food was all made by their catering team and fed our team for 2 days as they continued to eat the leftovers for lunch the next day too! We have decided to use The Real Junk Food Project for all our office buffets from now on and are recommending them to everyone we know.
