As Director of Sands Wealth Management, a Senior Partner Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth Management,  I offer a dedicated personal wealth management service, not an off-the-shelf, one-size-fits-all solution. My philosophy focuses on maintaining a long-term, trusted relationship with my clients, helping them create a firm foundation designed to meet their financial objectives so that they can look to the future with confidence and optimism.

I have been providing a wealth management service to individuals and businesses since 1998 and was invited to become a St. James’s Place Partner in 2009. I created Sands Wealth Management Ltd. to specialise in providing financial wealth management advice to individuals, trustees and businesses based on their needs and circumstances.

I have specialist knowledge which enables me to provide detailed, bespoke advice on: Trust* and estate planning, retirement and pension planning. I also provide advice on broader topics such as investment planning.

My expertise and knowledge, developed over many years, enables me to help clients, both individually and in business, to fulfil their aims and aspirations, as well as offering peace of mind regarding their future prosperity.

Robert Keelan - Adviser to Sands Wealth Management

After attaining a Law Degree LLB (Hons) in 1986, Robert joined HBOS and gained 21 years experience in the financial services industry. Most of that time was spent in Senior Management roles, with the last 8 years specifically in the high net-worth market. 

In January 2012 Robert was invited to join our successful Practice to assist with the rapidly expanding client base and funds under management.

Robert places a strong emphasis on professional development and has undertaken a significant amount of qualifications,  attaining a Diploma in Financial Planning in 2011. He has vast experience in the high net-worth market for both corporate and personal clients, with particular attention to pension, investment and IHT planning. 

Robert is committed to providing a bespoke personal service to extremely high levels and building lifetime relationships with his clients, their families and his business partners.

James Cunnington - Adviser to Sands Wealth Management

After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a 2.1 Honours degree in Economics, James joined an independent financial planning firm in Harrogate. For over three years he played an increasingly key role in building and implementing complex and bespoke financial plans for high net worth clients, such as CEO/CFOs of national & international companies and small business owners.

James was invited to join Sands Wealth Management in October 2016 and brought with him a wide ranging experience of constructing pension, investment and estate planning solutions for high net worth clients. 

He holds a Diploma in Financial Planning and spent 6 months at the St. James’s Place Academy to ensure the service he provides our clients is of the highest standard. 

James is a strong advocate of both life and financial planning and is committed to building trusted relationships with his clients and their families.

Becky Marsh - Private Client Manager to Sands Wealth Management

Becky started her financial career in 2010 with St. James’s Place working as an administrator and office assistant, where she gained valuable knowledge and experience in the industry.

In July 2011 Becky accepted the offer to join Sands Wealth Management.

After a role managing the paraplanning side of Sands Wealth Management, Becky is now proud to have become our Private Client Manager. Becky provides a high level of support to all of our Private Clients and is always on hand to ensure that they are receiving the best possible service. 

Becky has also completed her Platinum status Accreditation through St. James’s Place.

Annette Littlewood - Office Manager to Sands Wealth Management

After working in the travel industry for 9 years Annette began her career in financial services in 1993 and has acquired a wealth of industry experience in roles encompassing sales, administration and management.

In July 2013 she joined St. James’s Place working as an administrative assistant where she gained further valuable knowledge and experience.

In October 2016 Annette accepted the offer to join Sands Wealth Management. She is now our Office Manager; providing efficiency for both the team and our clients and managing the day to day running of the business.

Annette has also completed her Silver status Accreditation through St. James’s Place.

Katherine Sands - Marketing Director to Sands Wealth Management

In 2013, Katherine joined the Sands Wealth Management team to assist with the online presence and marketing solutions for the Practice. 

Katherine previously owned a web design company, but in June 2016 she closed to join her husband in the Practice and work full time for Sands Wealth Management. 

Katherine is responsible for all of the Practice’s branding and uses her range of skills to create everything from the website and brochures, to our private client offering and event invitations.

She is also in the process of setting up a support unit to offer assistance and advice to clients who are concerned about scams and fraud.

Lisa Machen - Senior Paraplanner to Sands Wealth Management

Lisa graduated from the University of Northumbria with a BA Hons in English, before moving into her family business as Office Manager.

Lisa joined Sands Wealth Management in February 2013 as an administrator and her financial education began. During her time with the Practice, Lisa has gained invaluable knowledge of the intricacies of financial planning. She now works closely alongside Becky within her paraplanning role to assist with all of the business’ paraplanning needs.

Lisa is currently studying for her financial planning qualifications and has also completed her Platinum status Accreditation through St. James’s Place.

Peter Crow - Chartered Paraplanner to Sands Wealth Management

Peter joined Sands Wealth Management in July 2017 as a Paraplanner after almost 30 years in Investment Management.

He is a qualified Chartered Wealth Manager and is highly experienced in advising and managing funds for private clients, pension funds and charities.

Peter now works alongside the rest of the team supporting Jonathan, Robert and James in an administrative and technical role, helping to ensure that they provide an efficient service to their clients.

Peter has also completed his Platinum status Accreditation through St. James’s Place.

Pam initially began her career as a Personal Assistant for a director of a US corporation and previously worked for 4 years as an Office Manager for St. James’s Place.

Pam joined Sands Wealth Management as our Operations Co-ordinator in September 2018.

Pam now uses her experience to assist the Practice with specific areas such as risk, compliance and audit. She co-ordinates the team and oversees these areas at all times. This ensures that as we grow as a Practice, our processes and procedures are constantly improving and developing as legislation changes. Pam supports Sands Wealth Management to make sure that we maintain quality in all areas of the business at all times.

Pam has also completed her Silver status Accreditation through St. James’s Place.

Harry Jolly - Marketing Assistant to Sands Wealth Management

Marketing Assistant

Harry was invited to join Sands Wealth Management in January 2019 to assist Katherine with the Practice’s online presence, design and marketing.

Harry had previously worked with Katherine at her web design company which closed in 2016, and has since been working as a freelance graphic designer until joining Sands Wealth Management.

Harry uses his skills to assist with general design work from client forms to website related tasks. He will also be bringing his photographic skills to the team and helping to create videos for the Practice.
